Saturday 7th

overcast 26 °C

Oh no! It has gone so fast! we are leaving here tomorrow and headin on to Lake Conjola. We are not looking forward to the eighth and we are looking forward to it, because it is Easter tomorrow! Well, while you're reading this it will be Easter morning and you will probably be eating hot cross buns. Today there was a mini fete on the village green. The 'Good Friday Sumo Wrestling' ring was gone and had been replaced with sand art, a jumping castle, a sno cone store and a few other things. It was packed! Thankfully there were some pony rides for Naia to go on, so Liam went for a walk and Fynn played some basketball. After an hour it started to get really windy. Part of our annex collapsed and tree branches fell at the back of park. We were all right, though. We had lunch. There was lots of traffic around, so Fynn and Mum went to play tennis and Dad and Naia went on a bike ride. Liam read a book. After we were all together again, we had a delicious dinner. Halfway through a ball came flying in and crashed into the stove. A boy ran in and got the ball and ran back outside. He didn't even say thankyou. We had a great day. Liam and Fynn

Friday 6th

sunny 27 °C

Today when everyone was up(except Mum) we went to the pool. Since it is Easter the roads were complete pandemonium. The pool was packed, at least 60 people were in. One of the spa rules was 'only 6 people allowed'. People didn't really look at the sign, because there was 15 people crammed in there. Big queues for the waterslide, but no one was in the baby pool because the heating isn't working in there. We moved to the beach after forty five minutes. The surf today was mainly for swimming. Liam found a hermit crab. We headed back and had lunch. After that we went to the Good Friday mass service. Afterwards we had fish and chips for dinner. We had a great day Liam and Fynn.

Thursday 5th

Today Liam and Naia woke up early to the sounds of the local geese. They made a big noise outside our caravan so we fed them to keep them quiet. Big mistake! Soon we had twenty ducks, three geese and five magpies on our doorstep. Naia laughed heaps when the ducks all rushed in for a bit of muffin! What we didn't know was that the geese have a mental timetable, so they wiil come to get fed every morning at 7: 02 am. After everyone woke up, Mum went to the shops and the rest of us went to the pool. After everyone got back together again, Naia and Dad went to the jumping pillow while Mum and the boys relaxed and watched families arrive for Easter. Soon the Easter bunny's assistant came round delivering chocolate eggs. Naia loved it! Afterwards we walked down the beach to the café to have an icecream. When we got back Naia went to bed and Liam and Fynn did some maths homework. We had a great day! Liam and Fynn

Wednsday 4

sunny 25 °C

Today we moved from Crowdy Bay to Umina Beach. There are lots of rules, but there is a pool, tennis court and spa. After we arrived, we had a swim in the pool. At the pool there is an island where you can put your beach chair, a waterslide, and a waterfall tha you can go under. Afterwards we went to the library and read a few books there, as you couldn't borrow them. After hat we went out for dinner at a pizza place that was very well decorated. There were lovely windows and the whole restaraunt was fashioned out of an old carpark. It had lovely pizza and was very relaxing. We had a great day. Liam and Fynn.

Tuesday 3rd

semi-overcast 25 °C

Today there was a lovely sunrise. The sun crept through the trees and undergrowth and eventually reached our trailer. When everyone was out of bed and not woozy anymore, Liam made pancakes. It is gradually getting colder here. After pancakes Dad, Naia and the boys travelled into Laurieton to return books and get new ones. After we got home a scouts group arrived. What had suddenly been peace exploded into noise and chaos. The kids started hissing startled kangaroos around and running up to goannas. The next two hours were full of "Look, a goanna!" and "Kangaroo!" and "But I don't want to!" By the looks of things, they are probably Cubs, maybe in grade 3. One of the rules in this park is 'No noise after 10 pm.' If you make noise after 10, you will be asked to leave the park. We are hoping the Cubs will be asked to leave the park, ASAP. After lunch we went down to the beach for a swim. The better surf was further out, but we managed to catch a few good ones. We had dinner by the campfire, which almost blotted out he eternal sound coming from the mass of tents over the road. We had an almost fantastic day( so did the nitwits we think). Liam and Fynn

p.s. we just found out they're a school group not cubs so sorry about that to the scout movement!
